Meet Heidi
My name is Heidi Lynch. I’m a California educator with nearly 30 years of experience in public education.
Over the years I’ve worn many hats — classroom teacher in grades 2–4, math interventionist, Math TOSA, new teacher coach, and now District Math TOSA. Teaching Favorites is where I share the resources and ideas that came out of all of it.

Classroom Teacher, Grades 2–4
Nearly three decades of mornings with real students — building routines, small-group instruction, and a classroom culture where every child belongs.
Math Interventionist
Working one-on-one and in small groups with students who needed a smaller entry point and an adult who believed math could make sense to them.
Math TOSA & New Teacher Coach
Coaching teachers through lesson design, number talks, and the everyday practicalities of running a math block that works.
District Math TOSA
Supporting math instruction across schools — curriculum, professional learning, and the systems that help teachers feel confident.
My Teaching Philosophy
I believe learning should feel calm, welcoming, and engaging.
My classroom is a place where students feel safe to explore, grow, and build confidence at their own pace. Through hands-on, student-centered learning, I create meaningful experiences that help every child succeed.
